HISTORY
Alimentos SAM is a company of origin Quetzalteco that was founded by Luis Arturo Argueta Lima in 1,976 as a food and natural medicine company. From its beginnings it has been dedicated to the elaboration of products like: breaded, spices and nutritious foods, being distinguished by a high quality in its products and the constant commitment with its clients.
SAM has excelled in the Guatemalan market in the last 39 years due to its artisan products that do not contain artificial flavorings or colors that have presence in the most prestigious sales channels nationwide.
Being a family business 3 generations have formed a legacy in their industry. Part of that legacy has been based on the efforts dedicated to Corporate Social Responsibility through its original nutritional feeding program, through its NutriSAM product, an initiative that provides a nutritional supplement to more than 900 children from the coast of the country.
In 2017 the company receives the excellence award as a supplier of Wal-Mart in Costa Rica and is identified as one of the most prestigious seasoning and breaders in Guatemala.

Originally from chichicastenango, multifacetical man, autodidact.
Father of 5 children: nidia, mayra, liliana, luis arturo and issa liliana.

- Founder and director of the border journal (malacatán san marcos)
- Charge of the special reports of “the graphic”
- Founder and director of the “ western vision magazine”(quetzaltenango)
- Member of the circle of writters and artists of quetzaltenango.
- President / founder of the quetzaltenango israel association
- Founded the company sam products in quetzaltenango in 1978 with the support of his wife isabel rodriguez and rodriguez that was originally from malacatán san marcos.
